Come join Artists Bloc for this season's first Lounge event on Monday, November 14th, in downtown DC!
It will be a fun evening of happy hour drinks in celebration of an exciting leadership transition this month, as Hunter Styles assumes the role of Artistic Director.
The Lounge is a regularly-scheduled, informal opportunity to relax with food and drink among fellow artists and patrons, discuss current projects in the arts comm...unity, and learn more upcoming Artists’ Bloc events. The event is generously hosted by La Tasca, right in the heart of Chinatown, beginning at
6:30pm.
Hunter, who has served as the group’s Associate Artistic Director since the spring, takes over the position from founding Artistic Director Colin Hovde, who is stepping into the role of Artistic Director of Theater Alliance.
Those familiar with Artists’ Bloc will see many programs remain in place for the coming year. At the same time, however, Hunter is actively seeking fresh input from artists, friends, and patrons as the 2012 season of programming comes together.

Program Mission
Artists' Bloc Lounge is a series of formal and informal events designed to bring artists, funders, and audiences together to engage in structured and non-structured discussions. During the informal, non-structured events artists and the public meet together to discuss recent performances and showings they have attended and/or presented, and to consider future collaborations. The formal, structured events take the form of both invited salons and public symposia designed to identify and explore the major issues faced by the arts community.
