12 MINUTES EACH 6 TIMES A YEAR NO HOLDS BARRED Welcome to 12 x 6, where artists get 12 minutes to display their developing work to their peers and, if selected, to the public. 12 x 6 takes place in two parts. The Odds is the first section, where artists from all genres are provided the opportunity to present their developing works to their fellow artists for peer review. Two professional artists will serve as curators and select up to 6 pieces from the participants of the Odds for public viewing, where the audience will be solicited for written feedback. Below you will find the requirements for entry in 12 x 6. I look forward to your entry and to working with you in the development of your work. 12 x 6 Requirements: Presented Work Must be New and Original Artists will be Provided 20 Minutes to Set Up, Perform, Receive Feedback, and Strike Selected Portion of the Work to be Presented Must be 12 minutes or Less in Length Presentation Must Represent the Work that, if Selected, will be Viewed by the Public All Properties, Scenery, Costumes, Etc. Must be Provided by the Artist The use of Live Animals, Cigarettes, and Open Flame are Prohibited The Artists’ Bloc will Provide One Boom Box for CD Playback To facilitate artistic collaboration and to provide feedback to your fellow artists, all participants are encouraged to attend as many of the presentations as possible. At the end of the day’s presentations there will be an opportunity for all of the day’s participants to discuss the presentations and, if desired, to receive additional feedback.
